Townie Tour: X Ambassadors and Noah Gundersen - Winnipeg, MB

The Burton Cummings Theatre was alive with energy on Saturday, April 13, 2024, when the pop rock band X Ambassadors brought their Townie Tour to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, delivering a night of powerful performances and memorable moments to the sizeable Winnipeg audience. Special guest Noah Gundersen kicked off the evening, setting the stage with his soulful and heartfelt music.

Noah Gundersen's setlist was a blend of introspective tracks and crowd favorites, including "Robin Williams," "Lose You," and "Exit Signs." The audience was captivated by his raw lyrics and emotional delivery, especially during songs like "First Defeat" and "Family." Gundersen also treated the Winnipeg fans to a preview of new music with the tune, "Lifeboat on a Tidal Wave," which was warmly received.

As X Ambassadors took the stage, the energy in the venue soared in applause and cheer. Opening up the set with their hit song "Renegades," the band immediately had the crowd on their feet, singing along to every single word. Their setlist was a dynamic mix of fan favourites and newer tracks off their recently released album Townie, showcasing their versatility and stage presence.

Songs like "BOOM" and "I'm Not Really Here" had the audience dancing and singing along, while "Adrenaline" and "Follow the Sound of My Voice" showcased the band's powerful vocals and tight instrumentals. The few emotional ballads off the band's new record Townie, such as "Your Town," "Half-Life," and "Follow The Sound of My Voice," gave the audience a moment to collect themselves from dancing and were delivered heartfelt, hyper-specific tracks that certainly pulled at heartstrings. Whereas, the band's hit ballad "Unsteady" was a highlight of the night, with its heartfelt lyrics resonating with everyone in the theatre.

For the encore, X Ambassadors delivered three final songs that left the crowd still wanting more. First up, "Gorgeous" was a soulful and intimate performance. Followed up by a crowd request of "Fallout," while "Jungle" brought the house down with its infectious energy and irresistible groove. It was a fitting end to an incredible night of music.

Overall, X Ambassadors' Townie Tour stop in Winnipeg was a night to remember. From Noah Gundersen's heartfelt opening set to X Ambassadors' electrifying performance, the evening was a testament to the power of live music to bring people together and create lasting memories.
