Fueled by intense guitar riffs and thunderous drums, it pairs a melodic chorus with trap/hip-hop verses as well as screaming breakdowns. “Remedy” offers a glimpse into If These Walls Could Speak, capturing life’s highs and lows, as if the very walls around us could speak.
The single captures the breadth and vision of Our Chronicle. “It has electronic, metal, a catchy chorus, breakdowns, and yeah, you get those screams, too,” says Price. “It’s the creative origin of the record, and my [musical] declaration.” Recorded by Price in Los Angeles, If These Walls Could Speak reflects inner turmoil and self-reflection while offering healing through a fusion of heavy riffs, electronic elements, and emotionally charged lyrics. Price wrote and recorded every element of the music himself, with the final mix completed by George Lever.
Price created Our Chronicle as a way to make music with an overarching theme. “Everyone has a story and is struggling with something,” he said. “I felt like the name and whatever concept I wanted to go into could be relatable to everyone. Our Chronicle could be the story between how the music connects me to my fans. It could be me talking about the fan and their significant other, the fan and their family, or the fan and any struggle they are dealing with.”
