Release Date: August 7, 2020 Genre: Alt. Rock, Pop Label: Blanket Fort The American singer-songwriter Baby FuzZ, the alter ego of the accomplished Sterling Fox is back with his latest single, “We’re All Gonna Die!!!” Just four years ago he was on his way to be one of the more successful songwriters within the pop music scene writing many hits with the likes of Britney Spears, Madonna, Lana Del Rey, Adam Lambert, Avicii, Adam Levine, Lindsey Sterling, and many other artists. However, shortly after the 2016 presidential election in the United States, he quit music abruptly and moved to Montreal, Quebec for approximately the next year. Fast forward to 2018, he reemerged under the new persona known as Baby FuzZ and began dropping singles off his 2019 debut album, Plastic Paradise. Now 2020 has pretty well rolled on by and has seen Baby FuzZ readying his second release, Welcome To The Future, which is due out later this fall on his own record label Blanket Fort.
“We’re All Gonna Die!!!” was produced by Nic Coolidge and Baby FuzZ himself. The single is a fun little number that does not only have strenuous energy behind it, but it’s quite eccentric and has an infectious melody throughout its entire two minutes and thirty-two seconds. The single is best described as the “dark” version of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start The Fire” but instead of touching on world issues, “We’re All Gonna Die!!!” touches on dying, with influences that are drawn from all the craziness and darkness going on in the world today. Baby FuzZ has always experimented with various genres, styles, and approaches in his music in the past and it’s still no different. “We’re All Gonna Die!!!” is unapologetically alt. rock at its core, with all the shades of pop streaming through the cracks, and even features a punk rock section to give the song a huge bang to close it out on another level. The song is just a little, brief taste of what’s yet to come from Baby FuzZ and his upcoming concept album that will be out very soon for all to hear.
